Do you believe in God?

I don't but I recognize that I'm not in a position to be making a call like that. The important thing to remember when discussing the question is that whether you be a believer or an atheist, your choice is an act of faith (an irony that most atheists refuse to acknowledge). The faith of the atheist is a faith in the redemptive power of science and human knowledge, but it is a faith no less. The faith of the believer is evident (there is no evidence for the existence of God). In all cases human beings like to believe they know more than they do. Better to leave it a mystery and focus on living a good, virtuous life independent of the potential existence of a higher power. Better to focus on helping others, not thinking about any rewards in this life or the next.
