22,000 people take high-school graduation exams this year
21,899 people, among whom 18,376 high school pupils, have registered to take the state-level graduation exams this year, LETA reported.The exams are a necessary step for enrolling into universities.
In order to get a high-school graduation diploma, pupils need to pass three state level graduation exams.
The exams can be taken also by students of vocations schools and other schools.The largest number of people registered to take the Estonian language state exam (essay) which is an obligatory exam for high-school graduates in Estonian language schools.
