Car Theft: Honda are On the Rise
Even if the number of car theft did not increase significantly between 2008 and 2009, thefts seem to have changed their tastes in terms of brands, at least as far as the Police Prefecture explained to the press today.If the top of the most-wanted (or, better, stolen) cars is a position still covered by BMW vehicles with 95 cars stolen in 2009 (53 in 2008), followed by fellow German Volkswagen with 75 cars stolen – apparently thieves like Passat models – , the third place of 2009 is surprisingly awarded to Honda models that went up to 75 stolen models, +47 if compared to 2008.The head of division of crimes against property of the Northern Police Prefecture Toomas Jervson said that Honda increase concerned mostly new Honda CR-Vs and Civics in Tallinn, Parnu, Tartu and Viljiandi.According to the Estonian police, the country became an interesting market also for international thieves since it started attracting the attention of thieves from Latvia and Lithuania who are more interested in this type of bra
