Ubuntu 9.10 released…

With its release, Windows 7 ate up most of the worlds available operating system hype.  And for those looking to buy a new PC or upgrade their crappy version of Vista, the release of Windows 7 is welcome news. But it’s important to remember that you don’t have to shell out $200 or more for a full featured operating system.  This week, the folks over at Canonical released Ubuntu 9.10, code named Karmic Koala.  This most recent release of Ubuntu, which is a 100% free Linux based PC operating system, boasts faster boot times, better overall performance, and updates to several of the free software platforms, including OpenOffice, with which it is packaged.
