Launch date for new maps and mega-update on Gears of War 2

Epic Games have finally announced the launch date for the mega-update that should fix most of the problems found on the online component of Gears of War 2. Not only that, but they also announced the launch date of a new multiplayer map pack. The update, according to information found on the official forums, will start fixing a series of bugs that slow down or block the multiplayer sessions, changing many playability parametersi n order to try and capture some of the fans that were too disappointed with the bugs to continue playing. The additional map pack that will be launched a few days later is, on the other hand, an attempt to put Gears of War 2 on the top-list of most played games on the XBox Live. It will be called “Snowblind Map Pack” and the maps featured will be called Grindyard, Under Hill and Courtyard.
